Being a Blaser Tactical 2 owner I have always loved the ergonomics of the chassis they come with. Some people hate the rifle itself; however, it will always have a special place in my heart. As such for many years I’ve been on the lookout for a 223 and 308 barrel for my current 338 Lapua system. So if you are in Australia and have some and want to sell it let me know. Anyway I digress.
A couple of years back I was contacted through this site by a bloke named Rob; he sent me some pictures of a Blaser Tactical 2 style chassis he made in his garage. Suffice to say I was impressed. At the time one of his mates was using it for hunting deer with a Smith & Wesson 1500 7mm rem mag action in it. This particular mate I had actually served with. (You know I’m talking about you Bryan). After a couple of years of back and forth I have finally managed to convince Rob to make me another. There are only two in existence now and Rob says he definitely won’t be doing another. So don’t ask.
As you can see from the slideshow above there is quite a lot of work that has gone into it. All in all about 25hrs of work to get to the finished product you see in the last picture.

So what am I going to do with it? Most likely put my Bergara B14R 22LR into it for NRL22Aus comps. But that will have to wait until I’m home from my current deployment. I’ll have to do a review of them side by side. Until then here is a picture of it having a test fit with a Remington 700 action before it was painted. He has also made me a NV bridge the same for my original Tac 2.
I totally understand your favor if Blaser Tac II stock. In my USA opinion it exudes precision shooting and follows through.
BTW I have prototype of 3D printed SB TacII mag body.
